Welcome to Emmanuel Church, Birkenhead, an independent church situated in Claughton Road close to the town centre. We are a friendly church, so you can always be assured of a warm welcome.

We meet for worship each Sunday at 10.30am and 6.00pm. Tea and coffee is served after the evening service in our fellowship room. During the week, we hold a prayer meeting on Wednesdays.

    Brief history:
Founded in 1916, the small group of christians moved into the current premises in 1917 and the numbers grew greatly.
In 1920, the church set up Emmanuel Bible College, primarily to train missionaries for service in a wide variety of locations and organisations.
In 1997, the Emmanuel Bible College was amalgamated with the Nazarene Theological College in Didsbury, Manchester.

The church retains a strong missionary focus and places much emphasis on solid expository preaching.
